At The Durham Chocolate Company we have the rule that we only ever use the best chocolate! That's why we insist on using Callebaut chocolate in all of our products . Callebaut is a Belgian chocolate company who have some of the oldest cocoa roasteries in Belgium. So, by now, they've figured out how to do it - very, very well.
All of our products are completely handcrafted using the finest quality Callebaut Belgian chocolate, and top quality ingredients.
We pride ourselves on great chocolate taste. That’s why we work with sustainable chocolate – crafted in Belgium.
We handcraft all of our products here, in our chocolate kitchen in beautiful rural County Durham. We're very lucky!

For your reassurance, our company is a Registered Food Business with Durham County Council, all of our team hold the Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate, and we have the highest 5 rating with the Food Standards Agency.

Callebaut have also just launched a trace service on the chocolate we buy from them. Each and every pack of the dark chocolate can now be traced back to the particular farming communities in Ghana, Ivory Coast and Ecuador, so it's very transparent. This can only be good for everybody.
